Portfolio > GRAFT | Untitled Miami Beach

This architectural intervention titled GRAFT was formatted as an immersive facade at Luis De Jesus Los Angeles booth A25 for UNTITLED Miami Beach. This intervention is influenced by vernacular architecture from Puerto Rico that also provides an intimate experience through photographic documentation. Encapsulated in small formats, each photo can be viewed through the "rejas' (fence) structure. The photographs are a selection of years of documenting my visits to Puerto Rico. My motivation is to expand the narrative of the fence by providing multidimensionality through it's vernacular language. This gesture also allows me to reflection on the intimate relationship I've been consumed by between Puerto Rico and the United States
